Based in Madison, Wisconsin, The
Motor Primitives formed in 2003. Since then, they have developed a devoted following. During live performances,
the Motor Primitives lead their audiences through sets that span high energy
dance inducing tunes to mid tempo head bobbers to warm grooving melodic songs.
The atmosphere is always friendly and encourages interaction between the band
members and audience.
In 2005, they released their self-titled debut album to glowing reviews (check out the "press" page for reviews). In 2006, they released their follow-up EP, Be the Engine. Stock sold out within the year. The Motor Primitives returned to the studio and recorded four more songs. Combining the new recordings with the EP, and released Be the Engine > Long Play in early 2007.
During that time, the line-up consisted of Pam, Robin, Kat and Matthew. Since March 2007, the line-up has changed (everything changes) and their sound has transformed into a slightly heavier rock sound. The new line-up (consisting of Pam, Robin, Ed and Jeff) debuted live at the King Club on May 25th, 2007.
More frolicing to come!
